Virtual Therapies
Having temporarily “closed the doors” on my clinic on 19th March due to the nature of my job working in close proximity with clients and the Governments advice on Social distancing regarding Coronavirus pandemic. I have been considering how I could continue to be of service to my clients during these challenging times. I have decided to open my “Virtual Doors” to my therapies and clients.
Prior to the pandemic, I have been offering PSYCH-K® and Reiki via Face-time, Whatsapp and Zoom. You can find out more about these treatments on my website www.elainecollinsacupuncture.co.uk
From Monday 23rd March 2020 I am adding Acupressure and Personalised Meditations to my Virtual therapies.
Acupressure:
Acupressure targets certain pressure points on the body with steady force (acupuncture uses a needle, while acupressure merely uses fingers) and can be a way of regulating bodily energy, aiding disease healing and helping emotional and physical health.
As with my initial face to face Acupuncture sessions in my clinic, I will do an in-depth video consultation and diagnose their condition using Chinese medicine. I will then demonstrate the acupressure points to help the condition.
We will discuss and agree on treatment plans and possible lifestyle choices that can help.
Personalized Meditations:
Meditation is a practice of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress, help health, develop concentration and achieve life goals and dreams.
I have been inspired by a workshop in March 2019 and a week-long retreat in Malta in November 2019 hosted by Dr. Joe Dispenza. Dr. Joe Dispenza is an international lecturer, researcher, author. As a lecturer, he is driven by the conviction that with the help of using meditations each of us has the potential for greatness and unlimited abilities.
I have been incorporating personalized meditations into my list of available therapies and tools that I have to help clients. I discuss with clients the issue’/s they are concerned with, I personalize a meditation that is unique to them and record and audio copy and send this to the client via Whatsapp. Client feedback suggests that personalized meditations have helped them with a variety of issues e.g. stress incontinence, stress, fertility, self-esteem, public peaking, migraines.
